Due to unfortunatle and incredibly stupid mistake, I believe I blew the Bose Amp in my factory setup. It was dark and I inadvertantly hooked up a Jump Pac backwards
My question is does anyone know exactly how to confirm the amp is blown or is there a fuse in some remote place for it? I looked under the passenger floor mat and under the hood and really couldn't identify the fuse that would go to it. I checked just about every fuse in the car anyway, but to no avail...
Also does anyone know how the message tones/beeps for things like the presets tie into the system? They also stopped working...
If it's bad, I wonder if I can upgrade the amp instead of replacing it with the small Bose...
BTW. My head unit seems to be working, it just doesn't produce any sound...
Most amps I have dealt with have the fuses accessible right through the amp enclosure... but i havent worked with OEM direct to vendor type of amps like these probably are... so not really sure...
If i were you. I would take it to the dealer and have them replace it. Dont tell them what you did and they will likely never know.

Thanks!
First check the 30 amp Fuse #31 in the underhood fuse block.
If OK, check the 15 amp Radio/S-Band/VICS fuse (early production) or the RDO/S-Band/VICS (late production) on the BCM.
If both fuses are OK, diagnoise the audio amp. The amp, itself, contains no serviceable fuses.

I bought my car used with a blown amp. The amp is in the door. If the head unit is working, you blew the amp. I remember seeing the dealer hook up a scan tool to check it.

The main amp is actually behind the firewall floor board on the passenger side of the car.
