I just got off the phone with Anthony at LG asking him about the same thing. I'm about to put a full system on my C6 and figured if this type of thing was needed I'd pick up a set of the stage 8 bolts. He said his car has the OEM bolts and has never had a problem.
The stage 8 product looks good and if you want some bling that'd be the ticket for header jewelry. Though I'm not sure they are needed if everything is tightened to spec.

I used Stage 8s on my header install. No regrets. I think of it as cheap insurance to keep the bolts tight.

I'm not sure about the quality of the gaskets, although that would be good to know. Before I buy I'll check into that.
