DTE H/C Package on a 2006 C6
I had previously installed Kooks 1.75, Kooks cats, Kooks X pipe, Maganflow exhaust, a Vararam, and the Predator header tune. Please note the 375 RWHP baseline was with the stock tune dumped back in.

375/375 Base
469/437 Final. Plus whatever power is derived from the Vararam.
Still having a car that I restored and modified 16 years ago and now finding it "uncomfortable" to drive, I impressed upon Phil that I didn't want something that would shake my fillings out. I was not looking for numbers, I was looking for a little more performance than stock without the inherent drawbacks of a street driven race car. I'm too old for that s__t.
What I got was a package that is definably civilized. Sitting in the car you can "hear" the cam but you don't feel it. Standing outside I opened the driver's door (something I learned many years ago street racing) since any lope slows up instantly via a wildly shaking door. VERY minor shake, but it was there. I'd say it seemed like what we used to call a 3/4 race cam. First gear at 850 and no surge, same in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at 1000 RPM. Mild, just as I asked for. I was happy.
Phil told me the car runs best with the T/C and A/H. OK. This was my car, a car I felt comfortable with, not someone else's car that I had to learn prior to pounding it so I took his word at it. I kick the T/C and A/H off and floored it at 1500 It went GOOD! At about 2800 all H__l broke loose, the tires smoked and the tach redlined at 6800, hit 2nd gear and the tires broke loose again, then I hit 3rd with the same results. This was not my car, at least it wasn't the car I had 2 weeks prior. I've driven faster cars but not on the street (with the exception of a B Gas dragster but that was at 2 AM and I was a kid). This car is brutal considering you honestly can't tell what it has.
Bottom line - put this engine in a 66 Nova and I could have bought a house when I was 18. What a sleeper package.
Phil and his wife Jenny are good people, their shop is clean, neat, orderly, state of the art and they're both knowledgeable and personable, And Phil is GOOD at his chosen profession!
Try it, you'll be flat amazed.

If you had the funds for only one mod at a time, which gives the best bang for the buck? What would it cost for both of them installed on a '05 6-speed at the same time compared to different times? PM me with details, I'm ready to have this done. Thanks in advance!

Wow. That's smooth. Is that the BEFORE shot?

Send us an email with your regular email addy. attached to it and we'll send you the information you've requested. PM'ing doesn't like the attachments we send through. Thanks.
