I have a c6 2005 MN6, I'm facing problem when i want to shift the gear to Reverse, i didn't face any problem when I’m shifting the gear from 1 or 2 ....etc. but the only problem is when i want to shift it to Reverse the gear won’t go to Rev. and i have to try 1000000 times to get it there, the is no noise nothing can anyone help me ....?
Me too 2006 mn6 8000 miles perfect in all 6 gears no reverse, take it right to the dealer, tell them new ,not rebuilt, their corvette guy does not have the training to rebuild, probably. thats what my dealer told GM and they put in a new 07, mines base model but there's some bushing in there that breaks, it probably won't be the reverse solinoid or the fuse. but you could check the fuse. if some how it's the sol. it,s on top of the tranny and it has to be dropped down any way even to check for power at the sol. make yourself sound like an expert ask about supporting the torque tube properly be firm about it, just think new tranny it took a while and they gave me a caddy to drive Quinn
Mine did it too until I aligned the shifter properly. There is a press down key when installing the shifter that centers it. The car has to be in neutral when pressing it down then you tighten. Some cars have trouble to one side or another if it is off center meaning that you can have either 1st gear or reverse issues. I had it once with it popping out of 2nd gear. I had the transmission removed by Cartek and rebuilt into a lev 4 unit. When they opened it I was called to see what the issues were that I was experiencing. They said there was nothing wrong internally. All synchros were good and no bent shift forks...ect.
They still did the upgrade since they had it out and upon installation it shifted fine. I get reverse issues sometimes if the car isnt on an even surface. I would say 1 in 20 times. On a flat surface it never happens. The linkage is stressed when the driveline isnt straight. You can see why when you rev the car and the shifter moves.
One thing that was wrong was that the rubber bushings for the shifter mount were all destroyed and they replaced the shifter mounts with solid ones. Yours may be bad. The transmission is likely not the cause.

Thanks.
Mine is like that once in a while. I give it just a little clutch, just a smidge of car movement, and it goes in. Synchro I think.
My Miata did this too. Neither car bad enough to risk a dealer trip.
I just had my trans redone by Chevy. I was having a grinding noise when putting mine into reverse. They ended up replacing all sorts of parts inside my trans. Mine is an 05.
