Hi this might be a silly question to some, but I have no idea. I wll be getting my 1st vette soon, and I know there is no spare because of the run flat tires. My question is if I get a flat do I have to replace the tire after I get to a gas station, or can I patch it like I do with my current car tires? Thanx

I'm no tire expert, but if you get a small hole in the tread, you SHOULD be able to patch/plug it. If it is in the sidewall area, the tire is trash.

Proper repair of a puncture in a run-flat is to demount the tire, plug the puncture & install an interior patch. Tire should be rebalanced after mounting. A tear in the tread or damage to the sidewall cannot be repaired.
As a side note, don't presume that a C6 resale will have RF's. Some owner in the past may have switched to non-RF's as many of us have done. In that case, you may wish to carry a plug kit & battery powered compressor like one of these.... https://www.harborfreight.com/air-to...inflators.html .... for roadside emergency repairs, again as many of us do.
Oops....my bad. Just noticed the original post was from '07!
I"ve had two RF tires with punctures in the tread repaired with excellent results. I always use the RFs because of peace of mind they offer. I had to drive about 20 miles on one with Zero PSI, and it got me home, and was duly repaired. For me they are worth the extra expense. And I'm happy with their ride quality.
I agree with Americas tire. What a wonderful experience. I switched from Tire Rack when they couldn't supply me with Toyos, they didn't carry them at the time.
This thread however is rather old and but I still stand by this vendor years later. Americas tire just does tires, in and out like a pit stop. They have supplied half a dozen R888R's for me with NASCAR precision. I have no need for a runflat
