One of our own forum members, Jamie Furman, has just run what is believed to be the first 10 second quarter mile pass in a completely showroom bone stock on the OEM stock runflat tires, 2006 Corvette Z06, running:
10.981 secs @ 128.90 mph --1.772 on stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT tires.
This is perhaps the quickest known quarter mile pass ever made in a completely showroom, bone stock, mass produced Corvette.
This is an historic moment for all fans and owners of the Corvette.

Indeed, Ranger was on drag radials for his 10 second pass. As was Dr. Ron. And Jamie Furman also now has a 10 second pass on drag radials listed on the C6 Z06 Fast List. That makes three seperate 10 second passes in the "Bone stock, Except Non Stock Tires" category.
But there have been 4 ten second passes in the factory stock C6 Z06, listed on "The C6 Z06 Fast List".
As mentioned before, three listed there were on drag radials. And there is this one, being discussed in this thread, which was on the OEM stock runflat tires.
Not that the others by Ranger and Ron are not tremendous as well, because they most certainly are, having been done in cars which were bone stock except for non stock rubber, but this one....it was done with the car bone stock and on the stock runflat tires. That is what makes this one so huge.
This car was completely stock, down to it's stock tires.
As for the time slip, go to:

Find Jamie Furman and click on "Details"

Read what I said again. I hope with the following that I can eliminate any confusion.
The time being discussed here was done in a completely stock car. As stock as any you can buy out of the dealership and drive off in today. And on it's stock tires.
Jamie Furman has TWO ten second passes in the C6 Z06 listed on the "The C6 Z06 Fast List".
He himself actually has an incredible grand total of FOUR 10 second passes in the stock Z06. "I was able to run a 10.96 at 130, a 10.92 at 129 and finally a 10.83 at 130 mph!

So his very quickest times in the stock Z06 on both the stock OEM tires and on drag radials are:
10.831 @ 130.05--1.701 on drag radials
10.981 secs @ 128.90 mph --1.772 on stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT tires
Only his two bests are listed on the "The C6 Z06 Fast List" as we do not allow multiple entries in the same category.
The man currently has a grand total of four bone stock 10 second quarter mile times under his belt

Counting Furmans personal four ten second times, Rangers ten second time and Dr. Ron's ten second time, that makes a grand total of 6 different passes which resulted in a 10 second time slip. In three different cars.
