I was going doing a search to see if anyone with a LOT of time ever went through and posted gains made part by part using a dyno (Same Dyno after each mod). For example, HP before Headers, HP after Headers, HP with Headers and tune, HP stock and HP before Tune. I would just love to see a progressive tier of some real world RWHP results that have been made part by part. If this has already been done, please send me the link. Thank you
maybe I could help.. Maggie (3.4" pulley) Headers, Stock Exh., Stock Intake and Stock Cam 421 rwhp 432 rwtq w/o tune then with the tune and an MTI Stealth II CAM my car made 471 rwhp and 464 rwtq - 3.1" pulley, Flowmasters, CAI, Meth and Cam made 492 rwhp 484 rwtq.. BTW car is A6

Interactions between mods make this a futile point. A cam would add x but if the car has headers the cam adds more. Heads have the same issues.
Certain mods seem to make the same amount becasue they dont have to do with airflow. My aluminum flywheel makes (or frees up) 9hp, and UD pulley is 9rwhp, gears make you dyno less but it isnt really costing engine power. Electric water pump is 6rwhp. A FAST manifold is 12rwhp on a bone stock car and more in the midband but if you have a H/C package and port the FAST, some have gotten over 25 at peak.
One mod I can give you the answer to is that all exhausts give nothing unless then have a valve that opens a pipe in which case it is near 3-4. Open cutouts give a whopping 5.
Thank you both for your post and I like to see how certain mod's interact so I can better think through what steps I should take next. I definately will go with a Pro charger however, I still would love to see the interaction between mods and the success they do/don't have. Thanks again for the information.
You're welcome! =)
I know someone with a ProCharger (Only a Pro! everything else is a factory parts) the car is a C6 Corvette M6, 2006 - Dyno #'s: 420rwhp - 400something rwtq, yeah the numbers are no that impressive! but the car is a beast on the street!
good luck to you!
