Haha...I hear ya. I'd honestly wait till you get the TM removed before heading back out to the track. The TM will just keep getting in the way.
Yeah, i believe we all do, its the TM at shifts that i think you removed, but you can see the improvement in your slips
Oh yeah. The night I removed it, I took the car out for a spin. I punched it and felt the change instantly. The tires broke loose and the car wanted to get sideways during the 1-2 shift. My wife just started shaking her head when I walked in the house with a big ole Colgate smile.

I'm a new guy and have an '08 on order. I hate to show my ignorance, but what is the TM you are talking about! Thanks for ay info. BTW, I will not pick up my car until sometime in Feb, but have already ordered a mild 2 wild for my NPP and will probably get a Vararam down the road a bit. Larry
TM and also heat management, I guess you could call it.
On the stock tune:
You want to make sure your IATs are below 85* and your coolant temps are below 212*. If not the pcm will pull timing aggressively. To maintain ambient IATs you need a good CAI. To keep coolant temps below 212* turn on the heater to full blast and the temps drop quickly.
