Just bought and received a Vararam from a forum member and didn't receive the installation instructions or template. I have e-mailed him for the template but he was not very optionistic about finding it. I found the installation instructions on line from the web site but still could use a template to cut the shroud. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
Quite honestly, for what is left of the shroud after you cut it, you just might want to take it out. I ran mine for 3 years without it.
I'm sure Vararam would send you the template free of charge, better yet, they sell a pre-cut chroud, get that.
When you do get the template, you need to tape it all the way to the bottom of the shroud. The markings make it look like you start from the two bolt hole bumps and go back, but you will have a big gap in the back.
You may be able to see from the instructions that the shroud will have the a big piece of the front cut off.
Then again, if you get the xeroxed copy of a xeroxed copy of a xeroxed copy of a xeroxed copy of a set of instructions that I got, you might not be able to see much at all.
Got a couple of PMs from Vararam, They have been quite helpful so far. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. Steve says he will send me a tempalate Monday and that should work!!!
Some have said that the template is not 100% accurate,so be aware.Unless they've corrected it since then. You will need to improvise a little on the cutting of the shroud for a perfect fit.

The hang-ups are the two bumps on the bottom which pretty much have to be trimmed and re-trimmed. The template gets you close but you will have to run a couple of test fits to see where the system is getting hung up on and then do some trimming.
ADVISE: TAKE YOUR TIME AND DON'T RUSH THE CUTTING, BEWARE THAT YOUR AC CONDENSOR IS RIGHT UNDERNEATH THE SHROUD.
I used a retractable razor knife and had a couple of blades at hand, when doing the top I retracted the razor until it barely fit through the shroud to ensure not cutting into the condensor. I changed blades 1/2 way through the cutting which made the cutting easier.
Take your time and you will be rewarded with great performance.
