Finally, the beast has some soul. I noted the neighbors heard me come into the neighborhood. I could only smile.
Excellent idle, absolutely no drone, and it's pretty "aggressive" in terms of sound after the application of an immature amount of throttle. It's exactly what I was looking for, and while it is not exactly the same sound at the C5 Pace Car exhaust I came from, it's very suitable.
Now here's the funny part, my wife hasn't driven the car in awhile. I'm not going to tell her, we'll see if she notices.
Very cool. Try to post a sound clip there are many of us waiting to hear before we buy.
I'll try to do this soon. I think there is plenty of reason not to like them, because they sound just a little uncivilized. But, for me, I want the car to scream a little under acceleration. It's a Corvette.
BTW - My wife noticed at ignition on. She loves it, and in fact she couldn't keep her foot out of it. We took the car by the dealership, to pickup some paperwork we forgot, and all the sales guys were checking out the sound immediately.
Let me see if I can't get something going for a sound clip.
I'd say that it's very similar to the Corsa Website though. I bought without listening due to previous satisfaction with the Corsa Indy's I had on my C5. I'm not disappointed.
I have the Xtremes with headers and they are deeper and a little louder than Sports. A little more noise in the cabin while driving around town, but fairly quiet on the highway at 60, 65 and 70 mph. Same amount of burble as the Sports. I think I'll keep them.
I had the Sport before I switched to the Extreme. I spent my early car years in the 50's and 60's. So, I like to hear the exhaust. The Extreme is just right for me. Sounds good at idle, sounds mean at WOT, it pops when you decelerate and very little drone at 75 MPH. What more could you ask for?

I'm running xtremes with headers.....its the best sound for me.I layered dynamat in the rear hatch area and also covering all wheel wells which significantly reduce interior noise

I got them from WCC in a couple days. Great service, nice price.
Um, I would have installed them myself, but it was so freaking cold out that I called the local Mieneke (sp?) talked to the owner and asked if I could pay shop rate for assistance with the installation. IOW - They're not just going to be wrenching on my car without my "assistance". We rolled it in, and out in under an hour. $80
Fortuantely, I'd actually done it before, it can be done at home, easily on jack stands. But I had just come back from the Caribbean the day before and the 20 degree garage floor was, well COLD.
Either way, they're on. You can easily do it. Drop the sway bar, drop the H-pipe, and it's all bolt on from there. I assume that if your car has been in the rain a time or two the application of some penetrating oil would not be out of the question.
Thanks Michael, appreciate the advise. hope to be ordering mine soon, my biggest concern is I really dont want any high speed drone noise, but yours sounds great. I aggree on the cold garage floor. Dave
