I'd just buy a "beater" for the snow........ rather than take a chance on some moron smashing into you.
The Acura got stuck as soon as I turned into the street. I figure that the problem is that it doesn't have enough HP or a manual trans, so the Vette with a manual and chains would be the idea car in this weather.
I remember earlier there was a thread going concerning snow tires / Chains. The one guy from germany reported that he has them on 11"
wheels and thats the only way he could get them wide enough.
Its kind of like the setup of the C6 trying to use supercar tires.
Do not use tire chains. There is not enough
clearance. Tire chains used on a vehicle
without the proper amount of clearance can
cause damage to the brakes, suspension or
other vehicle parts. The area damaged by the
tire chains could cause you to lose control of
your vehicle and you or others may be injured
in a crash. Use another type of traction device
only if its manufacturer recommends it for use
on your vehicle and tire size combination and
road conditions. Follow that manufacturer’s
instructions. To help avoid damage to your
vehicle, drive slowly, re-adjust or remove the
device if it is contacting your vehicle, and
do not spin your wheels. If you do find
traction devices that will fit, install them on
the rear tires.

WOW what a machine you giot there. Do you have supercar tires on
there ? I think it would be impossible to drive a supercharged car in the snow. Yey i guess some are willing to try.
