Whats the trick
What's the trick to getting the plastic tether disconnected from the gas cap lid? I was removing the rear fender to do a widebody kit and I can't get that damn thing to unhook from the lid. I finally just unscrewed the gas cap long enough to pivot the fender off and put the cap back on with the lid hanging off of it. What's the trick??

I just removed mine to see what you are talking about. I put a small putty knife under it and popped it out. It snapped back in with no damage to the plastic or door.
