XM Radio
So here we go .... I have the base single disc radio which I think sounds exceptional for being a "low end" unit.
I want to add XM and I DO NOT want an FM wireless or adapter style that plays through FM. I had one like that in another car and it was acceptable, but not XM quality. Besides I don't want to stick the mini face plate on the dash.
Having said that, has anyone had any luck with a behind dash adapter that allows the stock head unit to play and display XM? The dealer had me call a shop that does that work and the tech there assures me that it is true XM using the stock system and is NOT an FM style. Display is on the head unit, etc.
Now the damages ... $499 installed. Anyone done anything like this? What about the cost, reasonable or are they trying to gouge my eyes out?
I had mentioned this in my "introduction" message but thought I'd better ask the question in the right place.
Any input is appreciated.
