The CCW drag pack ...... lighter wheels (for skinny tires on the front) and fits drag radials on the back. There is a material savng in rotating mass a great way to go faster

BTW Tony has it .......look at a picture his Corvette

Thanks, yes it was bone stock at the time.
If ya can try and get back to one of the tracks before they close for the season, if you can just pull that sixty foot down into the low 1.9s you could possibly break through that 12.21.

As Tommy mentioned above a 'drag pack' when mentioned along with late model Corvettes usually means a full set of CCW Classic lightweight wheels front and rear with the fronts being 'skinnies' or tires narrower/lighter than stock.
I don't actually have a drag pack on the car though, I have 17" C5 wheels with the heaviest of the drag radials (Mickey Thompsons) mounted on them on the back and a set of 17" GTO spare wheels with M&H tires on them up front. Sort of a budget/not quite as light drag pack.
Here's some video of my car (and some friend's GTOs) at the track Friday night: http://video.cardomain.com/Clip.aspx...20D23DE03FC0FE
Truth is, a modern day C6 CCW drag pack is simply NOT as light as it used to be back in the C5 days, radial tires weigh more than the bias plies that were more popular back when people first started buying CCWs for their C5s.

I truly wish Chevrolet offered a traditional 'drag pack' (gears, lightweight parts etc.) for Corvettes from the factory just like the old days.

Frank "Evilways" warming up for another 11 second pass

Please see page 1 post # 6 for instructions & rules

THE LIST

Regarding correction factors:
Times are received from all over the country and are not corrected. Because track and weather conditions vary, this list ranking does not, and can not, identify the fastest cars or drivers in any particular order. It only lists the recorded times, regardless of conditions, in order from quickest to slowest. In cases where ET is the same, the higher MPH determines list order.

Default New PB on the 1/8

Ran a new PB on the 1/8 last night, and it was surprisingly warm and humid at 69 degrees, 80% humidity and 59 dew point, DA of around 1200.

This ticket is hard to read but it's

60-1.670
1/8 - 7.354
MPH - 95.1

It sure is, I can't complain a bit. Last night I turned my 253rd run on that poor thing. The track wasn't hooking so I was riding it longer than usual but that wasn't working, so on my PB run I decided to launch out of the groove at 6k and just do a fast release, .0625 of a second from first movement to WOT it hooked and that was a good run.

Hey all.

I did my last run of the season at Cecil County Dragway in MD, and here is my best time:

2008 Corvette Coupe 2LT.
Showroom stock on original GY Runflats, non-NPP, non-Z-51.

R/T .519
60' 1.919
330' 5.222
1/8 7.904
1000' 10.193

1/4 12.102
MPH 117.60

I will post a pic of the time slip as soon as I am able to.

I have only drag raced at track one other time before, so I guess I did OK, but know I can do better.
