With this converter I dont think my street tires would have hooked at all unless I launched real easy and that would have added a couple of tenths to my runs. My sixty on both my 12.01 and 12.04 runs was 1.74.

Tune by Synergy Motorsports 366rwhp and 383 tq on the Dynopac dyno.

There's an 11 in this car no problem, this was a streat car only track night.No cars under 12.0 and the track prep was a freakin joke! The launch pad was COVERED with big chunks of rubber and debris, no VHT after the racing beagn early in the evening.LOTS of rice driving through the water box, etc... I could not launch on the stall without going up in smoke even on the DR's.

 

Did you try to really heat up the Nittos?

You should consider the MT or Housier DR's when the Nittos wear out, they hook!

a 1.70 will get you in the 11's

Quick ET though. Sounds like our track. By the way, how do you like the Dynatechs, ANY modifications to the car for fitment?

 

Yeah they dont work for me with a little clean off burnout, I smoke the crap out of them. This is the first time I have ever overpowered them.I ran 12.20 with my 89 V6 Turbo Trans Am and pulled 1.78 60 foots, the Vette is just making more power. I just wonder if the track prep was so bad to cause the traction problem or the Vette's added power is doing it or both.

I might try the MT's next though.

Sacramento Raceway, Wed night street legal drags... Some old Mopar ran and left a 15 foot stream of water or something on the pad, two track guys walked it scrubbing it out with their shoe here and there then continued the racing! No dry mop, no VHT.... They never one time that I saw pick up the broom and swept off the pads, they were really nasty.

On the other hand I think I was the fastest car there that night. Must have had 15 people come up and ask what mods through the night. Pretty cool crowd without alot of rice vs. domestic or ford vs. chevy garbage.

 

I love them! They were bar none the easiest header install I have ever done! Me alone On the garage floor, 2.5 hours start to finish for the full system. No mods to the car, nothing had to be removed to just slide out the old manifolds(with cats still attached) and slide in the new headers.Gravy job...

 

That's my kind of header! Thanks, and I know you'll be seeing 11's soon.

Do you think the Vet is making more torque down low?

I would think the TTA leaving with 5lbs would make more out of the hole?

The TTA has a solid rear with a 3 link right, they hook pretty well

 

I had #1294 of 1555

I dont know, the TTA was all torque.Shifted at 5k rpm

I left the hole at 3k rpm with 12lbs boost 1.780 sixty, max boost 21lbs. I ran as high as 26lbs boost but no gain over 21lbs.This was all stock turbo, stock intercooler, stock heads/cam/long block, etc...

Yes, straight axle with torque arm, pan hard bar.

The TTA is an awesome car, I swear my car had no more than $400 in mods in it, handled great and was very fast but NO Vette. It was just too 80's GM, typical squeeks and rattles at 60k miles T-Tops sucked,way too much of a sleeper, etc...

It cost me just under $4k in parts on a $40k Vette with me doing all my own labor to go faster than the TTA though....

I think I like the C6 better

 

Wow! thats about 180 miles one way!!

 

Got to Fremont late tue night, hit a motel6 then went to Synergy wed morning, spent a couple hours there then shot over to Sac that took a couple hours, then left sac at about 10pm for Fresno. Yeah I put some miles on my car yesterday Iam wiped out today. It would have been a happier ride home with an 11sec timeslip. Now I have something to shoot for
