Default Comparing Invos and Michellin Pilot Sport RFT's and sizes

Gentlemen,

First of all...thanks for the knowledgeable advice given in the past to me and other forum members. You are, collectively, a great bunch of guys!

OK...this has probably been discussed before re tire choices and sizes but please indulge a few questions:

1) I took delivery of a 2008 Z06 which of course comes equipped with 275/35-18 Goodyear Supercar EMT's on the front and 325/30-19 Goodyear Supercar EMT's on the back. I don't like these tires re noise, cold traction and harshenss. Now, referring to C6 Z06 owner experiencesbetween Nitto Invos and Michelin Pilot Sport Runflats, which of these has better qualities? ... re:

a) Ride
b) Dry Traction
c) Wet Traction
d) Cornering
e) Wear (I'm a high mileage driver, dirve about 80K mi a year, probably
35-40K a year in Vettes)
f) I assume tht the non runflat Invos are significantly less expensive
than the Michelin Pilot Sports (already have a Conti-Repair kit from
a previous C-6 which I equipped with non runflat Avons which
seemed to be a good bang for the buck but aren't available in Z
sizes which brings me to (2) ....

2) Both the Nitto Invos and Michelin Pilot Sport RFT's are availabale in the correct front tire size, 275/35-18 but only currently come in 345/30-19 rear tire sizes, i.e larger than the OE 325/30-19 size. I assume that the Z's computer will have to be reprogrammed for the difference , i.e., increase, in Rear Rolling Diameter to correctly input Traction Control, Stability Control and Speedometer. Is that right?

Guys, please let me know your thoughts/experiences.

Thanks and Merry Christmas,

Bernie

I just replaced my GY 325's with the Michelin 345 Run flats. The Michelin's ride much better and are not as noisey. The Michelins look like they will wear better and they have a deeper tread depth. BUT!!! The traction on dry pavement was not any better the the Good Year run flats. My advise to you is run the Good Year's until you need to replace them. With the money you save...buy yourself of BFG drag radials for the track..... P.S. (I have a set of GY 325's For Sale with only 6,000 miles on them). I hope this helps you in your decision. I'll take $250.00 for the Good Year 325/30/19 run flats.

Doesn't Michelin or other manufacturer make a non-EMT tire in the right size?

Hitman99,

Unfortunately , not at this time, to my knowledge and what I could determine online.
