Default 1st to 4th light still on?

i installed the CAGS bypass plug to disable the 1st to 4th shifting but the light is still coming on. Its not shifting from 1st to 4th anymore but light is still coming on. Is it suposed to do that?

Yes -- perfectly normal. The only way to eliminate the light is to tune it out with one of the tuner software programs.

The resistor in the CAGS eliminator just replaces the load of the disconnected CAGS solenoid, nothing else. Thefore, the CAGS system will not see any changes when you disconnect the CAGS solenoid and connect the provided resistor.

Operation of the 1-4 indicator remains as before.

All is fine. You will soon forget about the light. I never even saw it, the few times cags grabbed me I just waited a second and then shifted up as normal.
