I am not going to name any names but it was installed by one of the sponsors of this forum here in Indiana and they told me that is normal and that you should expect to have that with belts. I just left it after 2 tries and ended up selling and buying my 08 Corvette. I told my wife I couldn't drive it anymore and had to sell it. She let me buy my Corvette.

That is a downside with the Centri. I've had two centri and one PD (maggie) blowers. The centri ever few thousand miles would require a bit of tweaking. The maggie ...well I loved my maggie for other reasons (it was a TON of low end power on a pig of a car CTS-V)

Feel free to call us if you would like to discuss FI options, just for an FYI, centri's do not/ should not require frequent belt changes or tweaking. If they do they are either not set up correctly from the start, or not engineered correctly.

good luck on your decision, 609-752-0321

Well it starts with ensuring you get the belt intitally readjusted after the first few hundred miles.

but when it gets cold out and the belt makes a little noise some of us turn into a Pit Crew Chief and immediatley attack the tensioner, armed with a wrench and no clue how the damn thing works

all of my centri issues were more than likely, at some point, maybe, just possibly - self-inflicted.

Just got my car back yesterday from ECS with my newly installed Paxton SC600. All I can say is WOW!
The kit is exactly perfect in what I was looking for. No hint that any mod exists under the hood. No whine, squeal, aftermarket hood, and the car drives just as it did when I got it.....under boost. The weather isn't too great here for traction and I didn't want to go crazy but I did a few lazy 4th gear pulls on the highway. Right around 3000'ish rpms there's a feeling that your still accelerating but maybe the car is also being helped along and it's moving much quicker with a lot less throttle effort. By 4500rpm's it's starting to get silly fast but there's still that feeling like the car is being towed, and that's around 60-70% throttle. I didn't go over 5000rpm but it comes up fast and all the traffic just starts disappearing behind you. What a rush!
With an LS3 & A6 I was getting 33.4 mpg at 70! And that's on a hilly road.
Like others have said you have to make your own decision as to what you want your car to do and how others perceive it. I chose not to go with any mods that will give away the other then OEM appearance of my car and I've lost none of the comfort, drive-ability, style or function of what GM's engineers intended. I am 100% happy with the kit and the crew of ECS did an awesome job!

Looks good Sampson! So what kind of power did you make to the wheels with ECS setup? There's no wine from the Novi sc600?

It is interesting that I had posted about the Callaway MP122 ON THIS THREAD with a pic and it is now gone.

WHY?

I'll be talking to Callaway about how posts related to them keep dissappearing. A FORUM SPONSOR should not be treated this way.

I have not bashed anyone else's product.

I have the VaraRam and have not yet installed a supercharger, maybe a year from now. Anyway, I've also heard from a few that also had belt issues with the ProCharger, maybe you have to really tighten them up some how. But for me it doesn't matter, I'm going with the Maggie MP122, and I plan on modifying the VaraRam so it does work! If you are not mechanically inclined, then either hire someone to modify it or just spend another $400+ for something with less air pressure....I guarantee someone will buy your used VaraRam. Have fun at any rate!

HuskerBullet Good Choice

I got to drive Callaway's 2008 LS3 M6 test car with the MP122 last weekend. IT IS INSANE. I can't wait for mine to arrive.

I know I am a little bit out of place here because I have a Z06 but I just wanted to say that I had ECS install and tune their kit on my car and they did an awesome job. I must also say my car is a blast to drive, so much torque that when I am cruising around I take off in second gear and it pulls from 5mph up like a freight train!!!! ECS knows what they are doing and they apply it. CALL THEM. All stock except their kit HP/TQ 615/605 its a dream car to drive

I've had my Vortech A & A kit for over a year now 525 rwhp and super quiet. I have an air brushed hood and did not want to change it for a Maggie. No problems with the install and recently added meth/alky injection for a little more power. It never ends

I'm bringing the car in tomorrow to get the tuning finished as they were just receiving it when they did my install so Doug did a mild street tune until they could get the car on the dyno. So, I'll post my final #'s when they're done.
As far as any whine I only get a light noise from the pump when I start up in sub freezing weather. But 30 seconds it goes away and the unit is totally quiet afterwards.
