Default ZO6 Front bumper

Will a ZO6 front bumper fit without the ZO6 fenders? Just wrecked the front of my 07 and the dealer is replacing my entire front end and fenders and hood, the front bumper for the ZO6 is just $100 more, so thats a go with the insurance, but to change the front fenders is like a $2000 difference from the stock ones. Weird cause the rear quarters are the same price for the stock or the ZO6?? the service manager just told me that they couldnt absorb the price difference for the fenders?? SO i told them that as long as the ZO6 bumper matches up with the stock fenders the go ahead with the new bumper, if not put the stock one back on???? Please help! also where is the best price for some fiberglass fenders????

You're telling me that a carbon fiber OEM Z06 front fender with vent is only $100 more than a Coupe fiberglass fender? Can someone confirm?

Front bumber cover is not CF. And it will definitely not work with C6 front fenders.

I have seen pics of C6Z fenders working with a stock C6 bumper soooooooo I think it might be safe to assume the C6Z bumper will work with stock C6 fenders.

I however would love to see a pic.

yes there is a guy on here with a silver c6 with a z front end and stock fenders. he says the bumper fits fine but sticks out just a little bit on the sides. i havent seen good enough pics to tell you how much they actually stick out but i can confirm he does have a z bumper with regular c6 fenders.

YES, it can work but there are a couple of caveats...

I ment bumper, but for some reason I though it was the bumper that was cf and not the fenders. My mistake.

THey will work with some minor modification. I'm doing the widebody conversion now and this topic comes up frequently so I took some pictures and tried it both ways. You just need to modify the tabs so there is no interference. There is matching indentations in the front bumper for these tabs to align with. The bottom picture is the Z06 front with stock C6 fenders. I left it gapped down so you could see the tabs. There is also a mismatch of the fender lip but it only extends a little bit into the bumper. Pictures I have seen of this setup it's barely noticable. GM fronts cost $3200 a pair - I bought Caravaggio for $1500 a pair.

Did you try the moc-installation using the C6 or Z06 fender to bumper attachment hardware? I believe that there is a spacing difference....or the same hardware would be used????

The top part is the C6 fender to bumper attach piece. The lower two are used for the Z06 fender to bumper attach.

Hi Charley,

With the stock fender I just used the stock bracket with the Z06 bumper. Using the Z06 fender (Caravaggio), it has an extension built on it so you just need the flat bracket if I remember right. Either way, they will both work if someone wants to mix and match.

Great info guys!
I’m interested in doing this type of conversion too. Can someone tell me specifically what parts are need to install the Z06 front bumper on a standard C6. Nuts, brackets ect…or is it simply the bumper cover?

I just noticed one missing part number.....If you plan to use Z06 fender to bumper attachments you also need 2 PN 25651470 Bolts, which are item # 17 on the fender page

so i just decided to go with the ZO6 fenders too. they made me a good deal...i love my insurance agency and dealership. bottom line is USAA would cover only the cost of stock fenders, leaving a balance of $2384 that i would have to come out of pocket, then the service manager stepped in and gave me his discount and the total out of pocket wound up being only $1725!!!! thats not bad for a complete ZO6 front end! I found the same job online for about $5400 for the front bumper and two fenders.....so i guess $1725 for the same thing is not that bad??? Now i only have to do the rear? Which he said he would hook me up on that too??? I guess there are some nice people out there in the world!!!
