Default Intake options?

Are they any options for aftermarket intake manifolds other than FAST?

The Weiand Street Warrior is coming out this year, haven't seen a firm date or price, but did read some speculation on ls1tech that it will outperform the FAST. That's the only other aftermarket intake in the works I'm aware of.

I was at a local shop for 410s install this weekend, heard the Weiand would be out in approx. 2 months with signifcant price reduction and comparable or better hp gains compared to the Fast. I am waiting.....also told you would not need to modify your firewall.

jke

PS - Love the 410s! (DTE stage 2)

Default Intakes

TPIS offers an LS6 intake that has a new snout added to the front to make it accept the 90 mm 4 bolt throttle. We have power tested this compared to the LS2 and the FAST intake and it performs very well. We often install these on naturally aspirated LS2, LS1 and LS6 vehicles. On the LS1 and LS6 vehicles we switch to a 90 mm throttle body at the same time.

Here is an engine dyno graph of the TPIS intake on an engine compared to a port matched LS2 intake.

Default More dyno graphs

Here is a dyno graph of the TPIS 90 mm LS6 intake vs the FAST intake:

BTW - we sell both. The power numbers are very close between the two.

Default Another dyno graph

This wouldn't really be an easy bolt on for a C6 Corvette unless it was a dedicated race car so this is probably more just for interesting information but here is a dyno graph of the port matched LS2 intake vs the Edelbrock single plane LS1/LS2/LS6 intake. This was tested using a 90 degree adapter and a 90 mm throttle (same throttle used on all tests).

Default Power plus intake dyno graph

Here is a dyno graph of the PowerPlus LS2 intake. This was an early pre-release casting so they may have made some changes to the tooling. The LS2 intake was port matched. The PowerPlus intake was as received (stock).

Default other intake options

You can also get fabricated manifolds from several companies including Wilson and Hogan.

Here is an image of a Hogan intake that uses a twin 75 mm blade throttle (and is also set up for nitrous):
