Choosing drag radial sizes
I need to purchase drag radials for my '05 MN6 Z51. I am currently at 430rwhp (h/c). Assuming a trap speed in the 116-118 mph range, will a 26" tire provide better traction and et despite the need for a 3 - 4 shift, or will a 27.5 - 28" tire end up faster by eliminating the 3 - 4 shift despite the effective loss of gearing at launch? Thanks for the input, I am trying to get ready for spring!

I would try and stick with a tire in the 26" (26", 26.5" etc.) range especially if you're still using 3.42 gears. That extra shift won't hurt you at all (there should still be a very strong pull in 4th with a good H/C set up) and the benefits at launch will pay off as well.
I would consider M/T ET Streets (bias ply, DOT legal slicks) in either a 16" (not an easy fit C6s) or even the 17" size for a manual car over DRs as well.
