Default Need advice on how to clear engine code after FAST install

I am a bit disappointed in myself at the moment. I just test drove my 07 mn6 after finishing my FAST intake manifold install. I took my time on the install, got every detail as perfect as I could, but one. I forgot to reconnect the vacuum line (short 1/2 inch line) that is on the passenger side immediately behind the throttle body. After 15 minutes of irratic idle during my test drive, it finally gave me a 'check engine' light. I raised the hood, and immediately found the disconnected line. I can,t believe I forgot that. How do I reset the check engine light? Can I drive it with the check engine light ON, or will that set the fuels to some sort of back-up mode? If I disconnect the battery, will that reset the CEL? I will not try that until I hear back from one of you.
thanks

Go to WalMart or the like and by a CAN enabled Code Reader....

You could also just wait, if the problem is solved the CEL will go out after a predetermined amount of restarts (but I do not know how many), or you could disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, that should also clear it.

Yes just unhook the battery, it won't hurt anything. Won't even erase radio stations. Just remember to reindex your windows when you hook the battery back up (put them both down then up and hold them up for a few seconds after they are all the way up).

I connected the vacuum line, and drove to Autozone and had them read the faults, p171 and 174. Then I disconnected the battery, reconnected it, reindexed the windows and all is well. No CEL after a hard test drive. Seems to run great. My next mod will be a ported throttle body, and finally, a Spinmonster tune. Life is good. Thanks for the help.
