Hard Starting Z06
I have a QM600 cam in my 06 Z06. Car cranks over for a long time before it fires.(worse when its cold). Can anyone tell me what to check in the tune. I have the HP Tuners software? Thanks, Ronnie

This is a very common problem with cammed big inch motors. I have a forged 427 in my 05 C6. With a maf tune it started fine, but it's idle qualities were just OK. My tunner Charlie @RPM motors did a speed density tune, and idle was good and actually picked up 10lbs tq. Yet when it's bellow 130 degree engine temp it will not start unless you open the throttle somewhat. I figured it's a small price to pay. No big deal. Even when it's warm sometimes it needs to have the throttle opened to start. I remember calling both LPE and Katech, and they told me there cammed motors start the same way. I also know of another person who has a C6 Z06 with a big cam and needs to open the throttle when it's warm to start. It's not true in every case, but many. I wouldn't worry about it.
