Two new Dyno Results for the G6X-3 LS-3 cam package
Hi guys,
Here are two new dyno results for our G6X-3 cam package. One is a cam only with LG Pro Long Tube Headers, and a K&N Cold air.
Both graphs are with a K&N cold air filter
The other one has small Stage 1 heads, that have just a competition valve job and it has the compression up a couple of 10ths.
Our mission was to get good drivability and not only keep the power in the 500s but to increase the torque to a level that is well above a stock Z06.
G6X-3 CAM ONLY 501rwhp 470 rwtq
Cam w Stage 1 heads 517rwhp and 484 rwtq
Making this kind of hp was a goal that we were hoping for out of the LS3. These numbers are just the beginning. We will be putting a set of fully ported LS3 heads on the car next. The heads will be finished in a few weeks in their final form.
We will be offering 3 stages of LS3 heads for our packages, with the Stage 3 as the max.
We look forward to reaching the 550 rwhp plateau soon
Thanks and we will keep you posted.
Thanks
Lou G
PS the drivability of this package is already more than acceptable. You know it has a cam in it but the drivability is really surprising. LG
Black 08 This is a G6X-3 Cam only in a slightly different version that we did to bring the torque up. As you can see, we did accomplish that by getting 470 rwtq while still keeping just over 500 rwhp.
CAM ONLY
Silver 08 This car has Stage 1 heads, meaning just a Competition Valve job and a touch up with a couple of 10ths more compression 11.3:1

It just keeps getting better! I am scheduled to have LG pros, cats and a tune done at your shop tomorrow. I have been trying to hold back on getting a cam installed as I still have less than 2k miles on the car, however with these numbers the mod bug is making it very difficult to resist!!

What a difference the heads make, still fantastic with good manners?so whats the price for everything that's needed.

The black car is mine and I have to tell you, you will not be disappointed. Trust the guys at LG to turn your car into a beast. My car had only 800 miles on it when they started modding it and I have no regrets whatsoever.

LG,
Are there still plans of a Fast manifold as well?
Great numbers! It took 428 cubes of stoked 351 Windsor (aftermarket block) for me to get that kind of power (508 rwhp/457 rwtq) out of a previous setup. This LS3 is amazing!
Thanks...

Right now there is no fast manifold available for the LS3 with the non cathedral ports. I have not talked to them to see if there is one on the horizon. I am sure that something will come along some time in the future.
The LS3 almost has Z06 ports in it which is why the numbers are so big.
Give us a call if we can help you out.
thanks

OK, let me see...where do I start?
OH yeah, you have a happy dyno and input fake weather numbers. You over inflate the tires and use torco with 7 more degrees timing...
Haha, its really impressive that the research youare doing went from plan to fully installed customer cars in no more than 5 days. You must have been waiting outside comp cams in Memphis with the 3 day lead time they have now for custom grinds. Well after talking with Louis on the phone a number of times, I assure you that the things he posted are true.
LS3 headed LS2's will benefit from these cams too. The 2005's tuning may be much easier and more behaved than even the bigger displacement for VE tables to do a really good tune. I'd be willing to try one in my car. I'll call you about what is needed.
Additionally, Comp stated at SEMA that the LS3/L92 FAST manifold was completed and was in final testing. Craigster05 was told that at SEMA. An interesting note is that the preliminary numbers for the manifold indicated more gains than the current 90mm FAST has on the 6 liter. You may not be off of the possibility of having 550rwhp in reality Louis. While its a known fact that you cant add up the gains fro each mod, having touched up heads yielding 517 and a manifold coming out that will likely get you another 15-20 and great TQ done low (like you need it) puts you in striking distance with a freak car and a few other mods you may not have....aluminum flywheel, Electric W pump, Yella Terra ultra lite rockers for the LS3 that just came out. You may actually hit it.
Yella Terra's shaft-mount rockers are an easy and economical way of boosting power, torque and reliability in late model engines. When Yella Terra bolt on rockers are used, the conversion can be performed in the vehicle with no head removal or machining required. Yella Terra's shaft style rocker arms are suitable for hydraulic roller camshafts and feature oversize shafts and bearings for massive strength, stability and long life. No more needle bearings in your engine! Simply bolt on to original 8mm rocker mountings with no valve cover clearance problems! Eliminates studs, guide plates and special pushrods. These are the new lightweight design which makes them the lightest rocker on the market for higher reving engines .

I was at LG today getting LG pros w/ cats and a tune installed. Great group of guys who truly love what they do. Jonathan (jcosta79) gave me a ride in his car, which had LG's latest tune installed. This package is simply amazing, idles great, no bucking at low speed and the accelaration is simply amazing. All LS3 owners in the DFW area should run, dont walk, to LG as you need to experience this package first hand. It is that good. One ride and I was sold. See you guys in March!
Jonathan, thanks again for the ride!!

LG is Number 1
I agree that LG has an excellent staff and much of my money! Lou and the gang not only do good work but also are a pleasure to deal with. Louis and Sean put the final HP Tuners tune on my 05 last week and it runs so much better now.
