Default Z51 brakes

What do I need to convert my 08 standard brakes to Z51, is it just rotors and pad's?? Thanks Paul

A bracket is necessary. See GM Parts Warehouse and member Gene Culley. Rotors and bracket are a little over $500.

...you could also not bother changing the pads since you keep the same calipers the pads you have will work. The rotors and brackets are the two key essentials!

This is an easy mod. All you need are the caliper brackets and the rotors.

I did this mod 6000 miles ago and it works perfect. Your front calipers are exactly the same as the Z51 calipers. The Z51 real calipers have a single piston whereas yours have dual pistons. They work fine with the Z51 rotors.

actually, rear calipers on both setups are single piston. the Z51 is just 42mm as opposed to 45mm on the standard.
