Default NPP remote

Ok guys I have to admit I'm a novice when it comes to accessories for my new vette,,can anyone explain the wireless control for the NPP exhaust,,I have an 08 A6 with the optional exhaust,,can I get it for my car ? Also I've seen where its "suppossed" to be easy to install,,again I admit I'm not much of a mechanic,,finally,,the average cost,,and I'd like to hear comments from anyone who has installed it, as to the the results. Also would I have to change any of the stock parts (which I'm not interested in doing at this time),,would it affect my warrenty?,,,Thanks.

Yes you can get it for your car. It is easy to install, it will not void your warranty. In fact, many dealerships sell Ed's (Pipedreams) Mild2Wild switch as a dealer installed accessory. You dont remove or modify any stock parts.

Very easy. When I picked up the car at the museum, the first stop was wally world for some basic tools. Pulled the passenger seat carpet back, pulled the fuse, attached the ground, and done. 10 minutes maybe? Print the directions. Everything is there.

Go with Pipedreams M2W switch. It's excellent quality and will last. If you use cheap parts, you'll be sorry later! His M2W switch is reasonably priced.

This should help, pictures are worth a 1000 words

Vette Magazine

Simply install the unit, program the homelink (cars built after 10/06 may not have homelink) so you can use the provided mini remotes and you now have taken full control of the Bi-Mode exhaust. MILD (quite) when you want and WILD (aggressive) when you need it. Lets face it, much of your driving is under 3500 RPM so why not have that aggressive sound when you need it the most. Switch it any time running or not. The system is also designed to maintain the last know setting so the car starts up in the same position it was shut off in.

Some suggest it need to be easy to reach like your traction control. In realty, the exhaust is generly left in the wild position and the only need to access the switch is when you need to kill the drone on long trips. It certinly is not like the traction control that may need to be switched on or off in an emergency.

The 5 MIN Wireless Install (most do it in 2min)

Use your HOMELINK (cars built after 10/06 do not use HomeLink) or THE PROVIDED MINI REMOTES. Some mounting options

I make a wireless exhaust controller that I sell as well.

Its a wireless exhaust controller that has a One Button remote. You can choose the color of the remote when you order and also can choose what style of operation you want it to have during the install. Its $55 shipped.

Here is the link to the One button unit here on the forum:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1902967

I also have the two button units for $45 shipped.
Here is the link to them:

These wont void your warranty, but will surely bring a smile to your face while driving. The installation is very easy as the only tools you will need is a 7mm nut driver.

My units have a lifetime guaranty, and are the best value on the net.
Highest quality at reasonable prices!

Ben
