What do you guys think, going to machine the mounts off the valve covers and powder coat them wrinkle red. I have about $100 in the project. Also still have to do a little more wire clean up and redo the brake booster hose.
What effect is moving the coils closer to the exhaust headers going to create? Shorten the life of your coils? Thats a lot of heat immediately under/beside your coils..........

The appearance is great but I have the same question.

Longer wires also suggest a departure from optimum. I will call this a beauty mod but a performance detraction. Its in the same camp as running covers on parts of the engine that will retain heat such as a alternator cover. Those rocker arm covers would sure look good in a nice anodized orange powdercoat.
Just for looks, so you can clean up the bay a little. It will look better when the valve covers are done. I don't see any real gain in performance from keep the coils coll. Katech won't sell the kit on the C6RS.
This is what I am going for.

With your coil kit you can just make out those badass $500 Katech valve covers. Thats why I went and made this off the cover setup. I am not one of your typical Corvette guys that like to buy everything. I post the finished pics. when I am done.

I did not know that MSD made long wires with the correct LS2 coil fittings? I have Taylor wires, and I'm not really pleased with them. Where did you find the MSD's. Thanks.

Auto Zone, I had to use mod the coil termals a little, but they work. The valve covers are just about ready for powder coating.
