Clutch installations
When I say satisfaction, you can pick any brand / any model clutch and you will find someone who has one they love, you will find someone who says it chatters, someone who says it doesn't, someeone who says it failed after their third pass at the strip and someone else who put 1000hp to it with no problem.
I find this unusual, expecially since there are so many excellent LSx shops in the US. Is the install really so difficult that a small percentage of people are capable of getting it right?
Are the installers stepping up to the plate when the job is done incorrectly or are the clutch company's getting the short end of the stick for bad installs?
Had Mcloud, Luk gold series, and Texteralas z-grip series. High Perfromance clutches usually means race clutch which means in or out.
It doesn't mean driving in traffic inching along. My last clutch went in with my forged 427 motor. It was the texterala with the street z-grip street disc. Yea right!. It chattered big time, and try dirving it in traffic; that was a chalange in itself. So out it went and in went a balanced LS7 factory clutch. My car will never see a track of any kind, so even with 525rwhp I have zero problems, and it holds just fine. Just my opinion on clutches.
