I'd probably paint them instead. Or have StopTech do it.
What color are you trying to match?
I was thinking of matching my gunmetal wheels, or monty red body. I found an unused pre-owned BBK kit, but it's red. Red calipers wont work with a monty red body. Black or silver would be better than red also...but if I'm having them coated, I'd do something special.
He just did my Z calipers and they turned out awesome. Mike does a great job and turn-around time was minimal. I'd definitely powercoat, not paint- I'ts much more durable.
Here's a pic on mine in Victory Red with the "Corvette" lettering in black instead of white.
corvette pilot, out of curiousity how are you doing the logos and text on the calipers if you're powdercoating?
or maybe a different way of asking this would be can you make the "brembo" lettering go away on the new forged monoblocs?
and then if i wanted a new logo on the calipers, how is that added? e.g. is that part of the powdercoating? and would it last?
also, what if the caliper facing was machined? e.g. like those alcons that bowmanized offers? can the lettering on those be removed also?
also, how much would doing a set of brembos or alcons cost?
and do you do nickel plating?
thanks for the time

Usually, the stencils are applied and then protected with a coat of clear powder. The only time that is not the case is with any shade of red calipers and light colored letters, as the red will bleed through when the clear is applied. In those cases, its either vinyl stickers or high temp. painted logos with no clear coat.
I can put any logo you want on a caliper.
If the caliper has raised letters, they can be ground off
If the caliper has recessed letters, you are stuck with them.

I have a set of 4 piston Brembo's on front and back that I need to get redone. How much $$ are we talking about here? What is the typical turnaround time? Will the coating hold up to high temp track duty? Do I need to get new piston seals for you or is that included?
Thanks,

Thanks,
$300 plus shipping, seals not included. Normally I reuse them. If any need replacing, you have to pay for them. I can order them though.
Turnaround is usually 2-3 days for big brakes, unless we are doing custom logos, then it takes a little longer for the stencils
I don't recommend them for track duty though. The color will eventually darken and they won't hold up any better than the factory coating.

Yeah, thats a good color,
That with Black Brembo lettering might look pretty good, Of course they will be much more subtle than red but that is not necessarily a bad thing especially if the longevity of the finish will be better. Ohhhh, I know. That grey color with red Brembo logos would look fantastic. Could that be done and how well would the red logs hold up? I am sourcing piston seals now!
red logos should hold up fine. I use 1200 degree paint for those.
Wheels, I do, but I don't have the facilities to strip them, and the local places are pretty pricey. Its best to have them stripped locally before sending.
VERY nice work indeed! I might be able to swap the reds for factory blacks, but a custom color could be very cool too. Here's my car....what do you think would be good for a stoptech caliper color?
If black, I probably have it covered. However, if you can match the wheel powdercoat gunmetal color (Forgeline did the wheels, maybe they can share the color info) and use black or candy red stoptech lettering...that could look good....
Is that Mag Red? I can match that, or I can match the other reds also. I could probably send you some gray samples to see if anything is close to the wheels, but I would go with body color myself with black or gunmetal lettering.

How much for PC wheels assuming they are prepped properly for you?
