Default my engine project... any suggestions?

Hello All,

I'm building my first LS7 motor and here are a couple of things I have thought about doing to the motor, wondering if I could get some suggestions on anything I have missed.

My overall budget is about $10K. I would like to get to about 580 rwhp and it will be a mostly daily driver with some track days. (6-8 per year) My baseline dyno ran 465 hp on a very cool, low humidity day at Skips in Sarasota FL.

Engine Mods I've started or ordered parts for:
Kooks 1 7/8 with off-road pips
GHL mufflers (these are still in R&D but might be ready in 1-2 weeks, I hope)
Custom Cam (similar to the LG X4)
Head Work (Valves, Dual Springs, Port & Polish)
Vararam Cold Air
McLeon dual plate clutch
100MM TB (still thinking about this, if I need it or how much it will really help)
160 Thermostat
Dyno and Tune when complete

So I still have a little bit left in my budget, any ideas?

Other Mods that don't have much to do with the power but if anyone want to comment on:

PFADT Coilovers, Fatty Sway Bars, Poly Bushings
StockTech Big Brake Kit with Hawk 70's for track
360Forged wheels with Nitto tires
Sharkbar
Simpson Belts
Spraco Evo L (still looking for a used seat in good condition)
MGW Shifter (still need to order)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help.

Mike

As long as you will be in the motor, a forged crank (maybe a stroker to 441 ci) and pistons. ARP Fasteners. Stronger clutch. 580 is a goodly number and LS7s have broke on the track....

i would recomend going with forged 427 from texas speed, and a f1 procharger. this is a great combo. for we have had great success. as you could talk to (c6roller) it is some awsome power. making about 730 rwhp on 8 psi. with his best pass so far a 10.40 on a 305 nitto. i know it might be out of your price range, but you get what you pay for. and its a lot! with even more potential.
