Tire Pressure Sensor

According to the Service Manual, first you have to remove the tire from the wheel, replace the sensor, then using a special device, program the sensor to the receiver.
Has anyone done this? Should I have the dealer do this?
Are the sensors mounted inside the wheels with bands or brackets?
If they are, you have a fairly common problem that occurs when the sensors are deeper inside the wheel/tire than the stock mounting method. This is usually especially a problem with the rear wheels.
Is your problem with a rear wheel?
I would suspect that you don't have a bad sensor, you have a problem with how it's mounted.
