Default A quick Q re "Priority Start"...

I'm still having dead batt probs with my 05 C6. When the "Priority Start" actually kicks in due to detecting a voltage drop, does one still have to go thru the motions of opening the hatch/trunk lid with the regular key then pulling the cable to open the drivers door to put ones foot on the brake pedal to re establish a connection or will simply touching the outside door solenoid sensor pad re activate/connect the battery?
Thanks in advance.

If PS disconnects the battery you have to get in by using the key to open the hatch and pull the door cable. Also, pushing the brake pedal will not re-connect the battery; you have to push in the cigarette lighter.

If you have a bad battery the PS will not help. In addition have you had the flash? Some auto's also have DBS problems and can get the flash.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't had the flash done but I did hear it wasn't 100% reliable. I normally just disconnect the batt when I'm not using the car but I was hoping that with the PS I wouldn't have to mess around with the key etc, I thought just pressing the door button/pad would work to reconnect the batt.

I got rid of my oem battery and my PS. The PS actually is also a drain on your battery. I got an Optima Yellow Top and all my battery related problems went away.
