There was (is) a recall for the tops on the 2005 C6 coupes. The top skin evidently can come loose from the frame, and there had been a few reports of the skin departing the car. My 2006 coupe had the squeaks when it was new. The recall didn't include my VIN, but then GM changed their mind. The dealer injected some adhesive and it's all better now. So, gripe to the dealer.
Good luck getting it fixed, had that problem on my 2006 model. the dealer fixed it, and it took them 6 weeks. So i would go now if you want it fixed by spring. The problem is getting the parts, with so many to fix its hard for the dealerships to get the parts.
I fixed mine and it has not made a sound in 6 months. I loosened the torx head bolts that hold the latch handles to the roof and I keep them only finger tight. I keep a little torx head socket in my console and check them pretty often to make sure they are not too loose. I just screw them in as tight as I can with my torx head socket and my fingers. Any tighter than that and squeaking and creeking begins. Works for me. Good luck.
