Well, I installed the Z06 front and rear on mine. I love the handling afterwards and had no issues, but I have never taken her to the extreme either. Besides, I plan on getting the wide-body rear panels and wider tires later on anyway, I figured what the hell for now....just take it easy.
No doubt the aftermarket bars have some advantages, but adding the Z51 F&R bars to the base suspension has a very high 'bang for the buck' ratio. Cheap, easy & fast to install, and makes a *very* noticeable improvement in handling. It doesn't get much better than that for C6 mods!
It's a nice mod. The Z51 bars are the best balanced package that GM has put out. Avoid the Z06 bars, even on Z06 cars. Most people add front tire size to those cars and end up with an oversteering car.
The Pfadt aftermarket bars have a nice advantage of being rate adjustable to help tune the balance of your car to your tire package and driving style. We also have significantly more roll stiffness than Z51 or Z06 cars. 1.5x and up with the street package and 2x and up with our Pfatty package.
Here is a handy chart I put together.
