Default Head light cover.

Is it difficult to remove the head light covering,,seems like when it was installed it wasn't cleaned very good and appears to have a film on the inside,,its not condensation,,just a hazey film that you get on windows. ,,almost forgot,,,"08"

You can remove them, but I believe you have to bake them to soften the adhesive. Some guys do it to paint the inside.

Do a search and I think you'll find that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to remove the lense cover. Heat, or whatever, it just ain't a happenin! That is one reason why the black headlight units are going for mucho more than other units.

I tried removing the cover on a damaged unit. I put it in the oven and heated it. I failed at it. It doesn't come off easily and I started breaking parts of the plastic. Additionally you have to remove a number of screw fasteners...Some hold the colored portion of the assembly to the clear lens cover and some hold the colored portion of the asssembly to the base.

FYI you have limited (very limited) access to the back of the lamp cover via the amber running/signal lamp.

Are you sure it's not condensation? I thought I read somewhere in the manual it can happen.

I would take it back to the dealer. It should be nice and clear.
