Will I get a check engine light?
I ordered Kooks headers and x-pipe with hi-flow cats that will be mated with Corsa Xtremes. No CAI yet. When I install a CAI, I will probably do a tune. Right now, adding the headers and x-pipe, will I get a check engine light untill I do a tune?

Probably not for a while. Get a tune as soon as you can though. Best tune after headers & cai.

I did immediately, & then it was intermittent for a while, but it's been on since. Other mods: vararam, spacer, & flowmasters, which have been on the car for at least a year together w/ no CEL. Getting a cam & tune next week, but I knew it may happen, so didn't sweat it. If that's all you're going to do (headers & CAI) do it all at once, if you get a CEL get a tune sooner than later.

Tommy technical here -- my reading of this forum says it is almost a certainty you will get a CEL with your mods if you don't get it tuned.
The only real variable seems to be when. It would really suck if you got it on your way to having an OBD-II type emissions inspection...
Soooo, the moral is get it tuned and be done with that CEL....
