As I recall the '06 cars came from the factory with the wrong amount of R134 (I think that's correct) in the AC system and the symptons include the type of problems you are having. There was a service bulliten on it as well I think. Check with your dealer or maybe someone else here can give you more details.
Sounds like lack of refrigerant. That could come from a leak of some sort.... Also sounds like you have gone through all of the DIY fixes unless you are an A/C tech (in which case you wouldn't be asking the question ) So...unfortunately, it sounds like a trip to the dealer for some warranty work - if you have a GMPP.....
well, my '06 has 38k miles on it today and the A/C stops being cold.
The fan blows and the air comes out as hot or just a tick hotter than real world air.
Yes, I have the A/C turned "on"
Yes, it's turned to 60
Yes, I tried other temps - as well as turning it of and on several times at differant intervals
Yes, it happened on the drive home from Tempe Az to Los Angeles.
I tried the fuse # 15, I swapped it for the spare
I also checked for crap blocking the radiator and the car was @ 196*
with a 190 thermostat
Any Ideas prior to the dealership?
Sounds like your low on 134 but only a shop with the proper equipment can diagnose it for sure. You can buy a cheap pressure gauge at most auto part stores that will help you check the 134 pressure.
