Yes, the 08 paddle shift can be upgraded via programming there are several high quality forum tuners that offer these services, night & day difference. Out of curiosity when you say "put to shame" do you mean the shifting itself or that mangnum SRT8 puts an 08 vette to shame as far as acceleration is concerned?

Shifting.................although, Magnum only a tick behind. Surprising for its girth...........
My brother has a 300 SRT8 which, when driving it, feels like a much lighter car. Plus, when we run at Englishtown with the Corvette Challenge they also often have Mopar Muscle going on at the same time. Believe me, some of those Mopars turn really well. Nice people though! However, regarding your shifting. There are great tunes out there which when applied will make your car literally jump thru the gears! But, keep in mind to tell the tuner that you don't want it jumping during downshifts. That can be nasty.
I have a SRT8 Charger, same tranny as the magnum and 300c SRT versions, and the tranny isn't that great. There is a massive lag between shifts at WOT. It's much more pronounced than the TM embedded A6. I have both of the trannies now tuned to be more agressive and with TM reduced/eleminated and the A6 is still much better, but the tranny in the SRT showed alot of improvement. The diablo tuner got rid of the horrible lag and most of the TM in it. Jeff Creech got rid of all the bad stuff in my C6 A6 tranny.
