I have a shop doing my Z06 body conversion. All parts are from Gene! I had the front fender holes filled with carbon fiber. The front and rear emblems are also shaved. The car is going to be the factory MSM color, however, it's getting layerd with a 50/50 clear paint mix and extra clear coats on top! It should be HOT!
I will keep updating with progress pics!
Front bumper gone!
These inner liners are going to be cut off the frame and replaced with the wider Z06 liners. NO GAPS!!!!
Sweet man... nice to see you having it doen right... it'll look great w/ everything shaved I did the same on my project... notice no more reflectors in the 1/4 panels, no Corvette lettering on the rear, etc etc.
I did not think about the lettering, thats a great idea. I am going to ask about that today...maybe I should have that filled as well!
I like how you had the markers filled. Sharp car. Is it complete yet, or still in progress?
Car is still at the paint shop... the panels didn't match as the painter didn't spray enough yellow for proper coverage in areas (yellow is very translucent). Should have it back this weekend or mid next week. I have done all of the work with the help of a few good buddies other then the actual painting. Here's how I delivered the car to them
Make sure the shop uses the proper materials to fill the urethane bumper so you don't have any expansion or patterning in hot weather. Other than that it's easy to do.

I am not sure how functional it actually is, if at all.
I think that'd look funny and it'd take a ton of work w/ filler and sanding to do right, and then there's no guarantee it would hold up.
My preference on a C6 is those 32 LED brake lights that they make to replace the oem one. You can get it color matched, or my preference, in the all "lense" plastic red.
Good luck
EDIT: Biggest mod of all.... no more roof Targa Z06
They are mixing the paint and clear, this will suspend some of the paint and flake in the clear when it dries. The suspended paint will appear 3D. This process adds a slight brilliance and dimension to the finish.
EDIT: Question... are they going to pull it all apart to paint it so you don't have a tape line on the door jamb when you open the door?
Cobra,
They are taking it all apart to paint the pieces. This was just a to move the car into the booth. The parts will come off, get painted, then hung back on the car loosely, and shot as a whole.
