I just bought a new 08' Vette in mid Dec. and about 4 days ago I started having problems with my driver side window. You know how when you open the door the window goes down a little then back up after you get in and close it. Well mine goes up and back down(not all the way), up and down, up and down. It will not stop until I hit the door lock. Same thing when I get out, will not stop until I lock it with the FOB.
Has this happened to anybody else? Or has anyone ever heard of this issue?
I tried window indexing but it does not seem to do anything. When I hold up the button for 3-5 seconds and then let go I can hear this clicking noise in the door. I think its a relay making the noise.
This just makes me mad, I just got the car Dec 18 and I am already having a problem. You would think when you shell out this much money that you would not get theese kind of problems.
Guess I got to take it to the dealer. But I was hoping it would be something easy that I could do and not have to hassle with the dealer.
Did this happen right after you washed it? I had the same problem after I gave mine a bath. My driver side door also quit working. Blew out the door handle with compressed air and re-indexed the window. Works fine now.
Did this get resolved by disconnecting the battery and then re-indexing the window? My passenger window just started doing this yesterday. Moves up and down about 1/2 inch until I reach over and press the lock button.
