My DRL/turn indicator lamps keep going off, not burning the filiment, just going out. I noticed that my front right one was out so I bought two, (you know, might as well change them both). When I took the light out, I decided to ohm it and it seemed fine so I pushed it back into the socket and it worked and has been working fine since. However my left side went out, so I did the same thing with the same results...pushing it into socket. It does not appear to be loose but it's gone out three times now and although its simple to just take it out and "reseat" it, it still shouldn't be happening.
I was wondering if anyone else is having or has had the same problem? And how did you fix it?
thanks
John
The bulb sockets can get hot and distort causing lose of continuity. You or the dealer can replace the sockets. Also be sure to use a cooler bulb. There is a bulletin on this subject.

Dealer printed a sheet that showed all three lights (excluding fog) on one single harness. I'm not having problems with the other lights just the amber DRL/turn indicator. It seems that I am going to have to purchase the harness as a whole and cut then splice in the new connector. Does this sound correct? I've searched for other posts, but I mainly find people wanting to change the ambers to white, or older vettes upgrading. I need C6 help (as well as other help according to my wife )
Thanks in advance for the expert advice
John
I took the socket out, 1/4 turn counterclockwise and let hang (like I've done three times before) while I started car and the bulb works perfectly. I have read the bulletin and understand it. I unplugged the bulb and the seems to be nothing wrong with the socket. The bulb fits snug, there is some sort of grease down by the contact, which are clean btw. So what gives? I will see how long this lasts, then I'll buy the entire harness which includes your three lights and splice a new one in. I just want to make sure that this will correct the problem as I don't have a lot of slack in the wiring to work with. That is why I was asking if anyone has had this problem and fixed it.

Mine does the same thing... It's not the bulb or socket, it's somewhere in the harness.. move it a little(untwist it a bit), works fine. Does this on both sides. No rhyme or reason(well i'm sure there's a reason ) but every now and then i have to get in there and play with it. Strange thing is, most of the time it will cause a "service active handling" message to appear.... Gremlins.. I hate 'em
