-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi guys, husband sent me the web page I guess to show me why he paid 1400.00 for a new part for a almost new car. well he actually paid 650.00 plus 125.00 to have it put on the car. My question is why? He had a "80" corvette that sit in the garage for a couple of years so I saw he wasn't going to restore it so I come up with a great idea to sell my jaguar and buy a new corvette problem taken care of, not, why would you buy a new car and then start putting new stuff on it , duh, the sound, i want a more powerful sound. It needs more breathing room, duh, how fast can you drive in town as large as Houston, I gave the "80" corvette to our son so now it's like mine will go faster then you. The gentlemen that had a new vette decided to go drifting in a parking lot and totaled his car out with a tree, why because he has too much power to handle, my poor husband, I hope he doesn't go drifting. We drove the car around yesterday in the rain and yes I have to say it sounded good but in the rain, I told my hubby to put his clutch in and rev the motor to hear your new exhaunt, boy was that fun. Well guys I just wish someone could tell me why fast enough isn't fast enough. Everyone have a great day and go corvette go.
I guess it's like a house.... wallpaper, paint, new flooring, then every season you need to put new flowers in.... move the furniture around... update the kitchen...
He is proud of what he has and wants to make it his own!
Sounds like you need to hang out with my wife.....

Its a guy thing, there is no substitute for horsepower and cubic inches. Its like the woman that has 11 rings and looking at buying a 12th one....you only have 10 fingers. why ?
Well, most of us change exhausts purely for sound as there really isn't a lot of HP gained. And lots of us are satisfied with the stock HP and torque, but it can be addicting.
As for your husband spending $1400, that's nothing. I spent over $1600 just 8 weeks ago, paid to have it installed, and then literally just yesterday, had it removed and replaced with another exhaust at $1450 plus installation fee!!!
So hope he picked the right exhaust, because if not, it can get real expensive to keep replacing them! My wife can pretty much shop and buy what ever she wants for the next 6 months and I really can't complain.

It's simple. Many guys like cars and things that go fast. I love going fast. I guess it's the adrenaline rush. Not sure. I just like it. I made my wife sit down and watch a show on speed about the Nurburgring. She said honey you don't have to try and impress me. But I wasn't. To me it's just a mystical awesome place. I like to surf and I feel the same way about the North Shore of Hawaii.
What's to understand? People have different interests. There's lots of fun and interesting things to do in the world.
