Default Max N/A non H/C hp

I believe an intake with LG headers and a good tune yields 420-425hp on a MN6 LS3 with NPP. Byond that from what I've read a ported intake manifold/TB gives ~10-12hp, underdrive pulley 5-7hp, catback exhaust 0-5 hp.

If I plan on eventually going with an intake/headers/ported TB/intake manifold (and maybe an UD pulley) and a good tune. Is it fair to say a 440-445 hp LS3 can be obtained?

I don't think there is any way you are getting 445rwhp without throwing a cam into that mix.

The numbers don't add up quite like that. All the mods work in concert with each other. Like others have said your going to need a cam to make 450 rwhp.

It doesn't hurt to dream (except for the disappointment)...

I dont think 450 is totally out of reach with a full exhaust, intake, ported fast and tb, UD pulleys, and a good tune.

Havent people gotten 430-440 just with longtubes and a good tune?

Joel (JSblown) got 455 RWHP with VaraRam, Dynatech long tubes, Borla, ported intake, tune, and TORCO. I have seen around 433 RWHP with those mods on regular gas. I predict around 435 RWHP with your planned mods.

Ah I see....well without a ported fast it'll probably be hard to get that then on regular pump gas.

Default LS3 will mod better than the ls2.

The ls3 with " BOLTONS" is a mean machine. With LGLT's, CAI, UD
pulley, and ported intake should come in around 435. If the FAST comes in for april and its gains are as good as the LS2 W Ported fast,
I see no reason that the ls3 on a dynojet would not get to 450.

FAST told me that the LS3 unit will not be out in April, and in Summer, at the VERY earliest, and even possibly in the Fall.

Well that doesent surprise me. If they keep dragging their feet. Wieand may release their ls2 / ls3 intakes in the meantime and they will loose market share. They never dis make one for the ls2. We had to mod it &
port it and then it really worked. The reason I say the LS3 will mod better than the ls2 is in the l92 Heads. The 10 cu in difference is only worth about 8 HP.
