Default Need Advice On Exhaust Mods

I want to install B&B Bullets....does anyone know if I should get a X-pipe along with it? I'm concerned about hearing poping or gurgling sounds between shifting gears. Are Borla Stingers just as loud? And lastly, will I need to get tuned after the install? Any help with suggestions is appreciated.

Wormie,
Does PRT pipe help with exhaust drone? I have bullets with regular X pipe, and sometimes it just drones a little too much.

I have the bullets now too, and the sound is awesome! I already asked wormie about his PRT, looks like that could be our solution. I might do that later on, right now i am just having fun scaring pedestrians when i down shift next to them Wormie are you saying that on the highway you have no drone at all? If thats the case i think I know what my next mod will be...

The PRT is the center section and it will help with the drone. having just the B&B is just 2 little bullet style mufflers and will have "some" drone.

I just took the PRT section off of my Bullet system...man It sounds soooo much better!! You're going to get drone EITHER way...with the PRT section on, if just sounds like it's being suffocated. It's hard to explain, but the way it sounds without the PRT especially in first gear....man talk about some goosebumps!!!! I put my factory H pipe back on instead of an x-pipe...I love the way decelerating sounds! Plus, the PRT section rested against the power tube chamber and made a hellacious vibration! It HAD to go! Either way BULLETs ROCK!!!!!!!!!

If it's tooooo loud...then you're tooooo old....lol j/k

I'm with you on being loud But I'm still concerned if the Bullets will effect the performance, such as horse power loss if engine isn't retuned. Seems I read once that in spite of the exhaust sounding more aggressive after the install, you could feel a drop in performance.....or is this only with headers?

I haven't had mine tuned yet, and couldn't tell any kind of performance loss with the Bullets. If anything I could feel a SOP difference when I took off the PRT section...it just feels faster...maybe because it just sounds faster...lol
