Default zo6 wide body upgrade

Anyone else here who has done the swap on their c6 coupe to the z06 wide body rear fenders please chime in and tell me if you are experiencing the same issues. My conversion isnt even a year old yet and Im getting severe paint chips around the side vent cowl area and nowhere else on the car and didnt have this problem with the old fenders and havent gotten any chips in the rear splash guards which is where i would have thought to have seen some. Is this a common problem with this swap or could it be in the prep of the fenders and how they were painted?

I've had the same problem, but it's due to running OEM Z06 wheels & tires front & back without the front Z06 fenders/body kit. The front wheels stick out just enough to sandblast the rear portion of the stock C6 fender and paint chip damage around the rear vents and fender flares as you described.

I've purchased the front Z06 body kit and plan on having the rear quarters pulled and repainted as well, maybe the entire car. YELLOW!

Ive kept the stock coupe wheels in the front and they are flush with the edge of the fender so I cant see where that would be the same issue. Shure is damn irritating though.

Can you post pics? I think I know where you are talking about and remember reading something about this under the ZO6 section.

It sounds like painting or prep issues, who painted it, have you talk to them? Any road conditions you drove over that would cause that? Is their a paint warrenty?

The talk on the z06 forum is that many people see chips on the rear quarters from debris being blasted backwards from the front tires. Doubt it is a paint issue. I hear some vendors are developing mudguards to prevent this sandblasting. That may be your solution.
