Corsa Extreme
Why are the Extremes recomended for the manual but not the A6? I spoke with Kooks and they said it would be OK to put in my 05 A6, Kooks says that Corsa has mastered the no DRONE and that they would'nt have a problem installing one. Trying to decided, any help would be nice while I think. Thanks

I checked with WCC and they said that the way the A6 transmission is located, it has an extra portion sticking out (due to the automatic gear box) and they've yet to configure the tubing around that portion of the gear box....but apprently it's coming.....I went with the Borla Stinger instead

There have been a few guys who have installed the Xtremes on their A6's. Do a search on "Xtremes" and you'll see their threads. I currently have the Sports (A6 package) on my 06 A6 and I am planning on replacing them with the Xtremes. As long as you have the Corsa H-pipe, there is no drone at cruising. Corsa will tell you the same thing for the application of the Xtremes on the A6. However, there are some guys who have installed the Xtremes without the Corsa H-pipe and stayed with the oem pipe with great results.

I have the extreme's on my 05 auto. actually the 05 is a a4, chevy changed to the a6 in 06. the only clearence issue is with a heat shield on the passenger side gas tank. The instructions from corsa say to bend a portion of the heat shield out of the way then bend back after the installation. I followed the instructions and a little persuasion with a rubber mallet on the over the axle pipe and it pops right in. No issues on the drivers side. The sytem fits with no sqeaks or rattles and it sounds SWEET!!!!!

Are you changing for the deeper tone the extremes give and the over all sound?. I've heard the extreme in person, WOW nice deep american muscle sound, but it is loud.

I have Xtremes on my A6 / 06. No problems. I had Sports and decided to replace the mufflers only. Works fine - they are a little loud with headers ! I'm installing some Fatmat in the rear deck to tone it down a little. It now sounds like a muscle car!

Can someone give a straight answer...so you can apply the Corsa Xtreme on the A6? Just the rear portion

Had my A6 06 Extremes installed at carlile by corsa no problem with the install also was told by factory rep that the h pipe or a x pipe would not do anything to just do axle back. The reason the extremes are not recommended for automatics is corsas have no drone and there is a drone with the automatics and you do have some popping and burple on decelleration. In saying that I love my extremes it has a muscle sound and not as much drone as borla stingers. I hate the sound of the sports not deep enough
