Anyone running a cat-less exhaust, is the smell of exhaust very noticeable after riding around? Does it stick to your clothes and skin, not that you can smell it, does it stay with you all day? Thanks for you help!
The exhaust smell is stronger, but not bad. I had a leak with my previous exhaust and that was pretty bad. With the proper exhaust I don't smell it much more in the car. It is noticeable but not a problem in my opinion. Car is louder and sounds a little more "hollow" My wife has comented that she smells gas on me????
Great info. thanks! So you can't smell it on yourself? A women can smell a fart 3 rooms over, they don't count. I just don't want to smell like I have been blowing leaves all day.

Women poot not fart ...well that's what my wife says anyhow
I have a cammed Z06 with headers/no cats and can smell fuel a little.
If you wait about 5 seconds to open the doors after turning engine off the smell is gone. My clothes don't smell like fuel nor do I continue to smell fuel as the day goes on. When using 30% VP unleaded 108 with BP premium smell is not apparent. With 75% VP all smells sweet! Hope this helps
I have had several cars without cats but not my present car. Never really noticed a stink unless I was running race gas.

No kidding, I walked into some light green cloud of stink last night. She first denied smelling anything then suggested that it could have been the dog but the dog was in the other room with me for the last 15 minutes. I guess she didnt she the 115 lb mastiff leave the room.
Keep in mind that this dog's gas wakes me up in the middle of the night............
I am going to go ahead and run the cat-less system and if the smell gets to me I will change it up. Thanks for everyone's input. And that is just like a woman to blame the dog.

I think that would be the smart thing to do. Some people complain about smell some don't. With out cats you will save at least $300, gain a few HP, better flow, better sound, less heat in the tunnel plus you can delete the rear 02 sensor extensions when you order saving another $60. With out rear 02 sensors you also won't have the hassel of running the wires, melting connectors etc.
Cars before 1975 didn't have cats so if they didn't bother you the vette shouldn't. If it does bother you then buy the cats and install them. At least you will have tried it both ways.
Doesn't bother me at all. It might be worse on start-up (still not that bad though) because the exhaust isn't warm yet but after a couple minutes it isn't bad at all. Plus I like the idea of saving money and the better sound. I think you made the right choice.
