Default LS2 vett shuts down while drive, please help

Well its started as a little surge and now has progressed in to the entire engine just completely shutting down. I have to coast off the road and turn the car off and turn it back on again. I took it to the dealer and they cant find whats wrong with it. Its not throwing any codes. They replaced both the fuel pumps and tried everything they could still no fix. The car is a 2006 corvette with a magna charger, other than that its completely stock.

Anyone know whats wrong?

My first guess would've been the fuel pump but since that has been changed....maybe the fuel filter. It sure sounds like a fuel problem, but don't discount anything....good luck!

Drive it with a scanner and a fuel pressure gauge hooked up. Tape the fuel pressure gauge to the windshield so you can monitor pressure when the problem happens.

Have someone in the passenger seat watching the scanner data to see if any sensors wig out when the problem is happening.

Sounds like a fuel pressure problem. A lot of techs will only check fuel pressure in the bay, you really need to watch it while driving when the problem is happening. I've fixed tons of cars by taping a fuel pressure gauge to the windshield to help identify a fuel problem that other techs disregarded because they only checked pressure in the service bay.

There are a lot of things in the fuel system that won't set a code, and that surging, stalling ... is a good symptom of running out of fuel pressure.

Loose connector in the wiring harness.

Check all the wiring coming off the Magna Volt if I remember right the gray wire is the one that ties into the fuel pump, but check the others too. If you can get a hold of or purchase a fuel pressure gauge as suggested in previous posts your fuel pressure should be at 60 to 62 lbs. thats where mine stays constantly, with my Maggie set up MP112. I also installed A-Pillar mounted boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge. The whole set up can be purchased at Summit Racing. Let us know what you find out.
