Had the CoW 4.10 diff installed today

Went down to CoW and had them install the diff. I chose CoW because of their diff reliability and being very happy with their previous work.
All the threads about these 4.10's being a great mod are true! The gears really seem to match the car well, even though I'm taking it easy for the breakin miles the part-1/2 throttle acceleration is very nice, the car just gets up to speed quicker then before and with less effort. As someone stated in a thread I read, "it feels like the car lost 500lbs" that's a pretty accurate description.
Can't wait to really feel a full WOT run, imo this is a great mod and it's something I think I feel sotp much more then compared to my headers.
If someone is debating headers/gears, do the gears 1st if you want something you can feel all the time.
On a note about driving/shifting. I'm already adapting to the new shift points. In my use with stock 3.42 gears, I NEVER used 5th gear....it was like in no mans land for me (6th gear on the highway, 1st-4th gear around town). Now if I want the same rpm as 4th used to be around town, I drop it into 5th gear which seems nearly identical to my previous rpm range in 4th. 6th gear now is very responsive on the highway and runs at 2Krpms@70mph, so gas mileage is very close to what it used to be with the stock rear gears.
So, I'm loving the 4.10's and have only had them on for 1/2 a day! My thanks to Chuck and his staff at CoW for doing a terrific install.
