Ceramic Brake Pads

The local A/C Delco dealer has a set of ceramic brake pads that he says will fit the standard set up, but not the Z51 according to the numbers. I have seen conflicting info on weather that is true. Are all the pads in fact the same on the base and Z51, as far as being interchangable? Will his "base" set up fit the Z51?

Yes. The pads are the same size Z51 or standard, C6 or C5. I've been running ceramics for street duty for years.

The pads are the same size; they're not the same composition. But if you want ceramic pads, then these should work fine. The OEM Z51 pads are more agressive (and, of course, a lot dustier and more prone to squeal).
